Who is responsible? Private Mental Health Care is an officially registered trade name of Private Addiction Care B.V. From a legal perspective, that B.V. is therefore responsible for your data. In practice, it is the same clinic and the same security.
What we process when you get in touch
If you fill in the contact form, we will process your email address, optionally your telephone number, who you are seeking help for, whether we may call you today, and what you write in your message. We use this solely to contact you regarding your query.
You decide for yourself what you share. What you write may contain information about your health — feel free to share only what you are comfortable with, an email address or phone number is enough to be able to help you. Everything that comes in is treated confidentially and only read by those who need it to assist you.
If you call or message us, we process your telephone number and what you tell us, in order to be able to help you and call you back.
What we process when you only view the site
Our hosting provider records technical visitor data in log files (such as IP address and time). This is necessary for the security and proper functioning of the website and is not kept longer than necessary for that purpose.
In addition, we use cookies for statistics and marketing. These are active upon your first visit. If you refuse them in the cookie banner, or disable a category in the settings, they will stop immediately and no further data about your visit will be collected. Why we are allowed to process this
We process your data on the basis of the legal grounds from the GDPR: to be able to follow up on your request when you contact us (pre-contractual measures and legitimate interest), with your consent (for the non-necessary cookies), and to comply with legal obligations. Consent you have given can be withdrawn at any time.
Who we share data with
We never sell your data. We only share it with parties that help us run this website and our communications, such as our hosting provider and Microsoft 365 for email. Data processing agreements have been concluded with these parties. For statistics and advertising, we use services from Google and Microsoft; you can read more about this in the cookie policy. If anything is processed outside the European Economic Area, this is done with appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we retain data
Messages via the contact form are retained for as long as necessary to handle your question and to be able to respond to any follow-up questions. If you become a client, the retention periods from the privacy policy of Private Addiction Care B.V. and the law.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify or erase your data, to restrict the processing, to have your data transferred and to object to processing. You can also withdraw consent given at any time.
